DAY 1: QUEEN ALIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – AMMAN

Upon arriving Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Amman, the capital of Jordan, JAT Representative holding a sign with your name will be present to meet and assist you with the completion of customs, immigration procedures, passport formalities, and visa handling. Overnight / Amman.


 

DAY 2: AMMAN CITY TOUR - DANA

Pick up from your hotel in Amman for a tour of the capital city of Jordan. Your visit includes sites and museums such as the Archeological Museum, the Folklore Museum, The CITADEL and the AMPHITHEATRE.

Transfer to Dana Biosphere Reserve. Overnight / Dana Guest House.


 

DAY 3: A HIKE FROM DANA TO FEYNAN ECO-LODGE

Hiking will begin in Dana, leading you into Dana Valley. The trail starts with a steep descent before gradually leveling out as you pass through the Dana Biosphere Reserve, heading towards Feynan Eco-Lodge.

The reserve spans four distinct bio-geographical zones, offering a remarkable variety of birds, plants, and animals. You might spot Griffin Vultures soaring above, hyrax and copper-blue lizards on the rocks, or if you're fortunate, catch sight of an ibex or desert fox. You could even encounter wolf tracks in the dust. The hike ends at Feynan Eco-Lodge, where a guided sunset walk is available in the evening.

Dana Biosphere Reserve is a place of remarkable beauty, rich history, and diverse biodiversity. It is the only reserve in Jordan that spans the country's four distinct bio-geographical zones: Mediterranean, Irano-Turanian, Saharo-Arabian, and Sudanian. This unique mix of ecosystems makes Dana a crossroads for species from Europe, Africa, and Asia. Many of the plants and animals found here are rare, with 800 plant species and 449 animal species recorded so far. Among them, 25 species are endangered, including the Sand Cat, Syrian Wolf, Lesser Kestrel, and Spiny Tailed Lizard.Overnight / Feynan Ecolodge.

DAY 4: FEYNAN - LITTLE PETRA - PETRA

Transfer to Little Petra, “ AL BEIDA “ Siq Al Barid (Cold Canyon) is well worth a visit. It was thought to have served as an agricultural center, trading suburb and resupply post for camel caravans visiting Petra. The surrounding area is picturesque and fun to explore, especially as it is home to some of the oldest settlements in the world.

Enter Petra via the 'Back Door'! The trail follows well-maintained paths down Wadi Ghurab, through sandstone mountains that guard the approaches to Petra. This route traces an ancient Nabataean path, skirting around the final mountain along a natural rock terrace, which has been enhanced for the safety of hikers. The path narrows slightly before opening onto a hidden plateau high above the dramatic chasm of Wadi Siyyagh. Just beyond, carved into the cliff face, the magnificent Monastery suddenly appears. (Bedouin café available nearby.) Nabataean steps then lead down into the heart of ancient Petra, where the trail continues, passing by the iconic Treasury and through the famous Petra Siq, finally reaching the shops, cafés, and hotels of Wadi Musa.  Overnight / Petra.

DAY 5: PETRA VISIT - WADI RUM

Hiking in Petra, offers an extraordinary experience combining breathtaking landscapes, ancient history, and cultural heritage. Trails wind through dramatic sandstone cliffs, ancient ruins, and narrow gorges, giving hikers an intimate journey through one of the world's most famous archaeological sites.

Visit the ancient city of PETRA, one of Jordan’s national treasures and by far its best known tourist attraction. Petra is the legacy of the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled in southern Jordan more than 2,000 years ago. Admired then for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels, Petra is a UNESCO World Heritages Site and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Inhabited by the Nabateans, Edomites and Romans, Petra brought together the knowledge and skill of these civilizations to create this world wonder. Caravans laden with incense, silks, spices and other exotic goods would rest at Petra. Transfer to WADI RUM .Overnight / Wadi Rum


 

DAY 6: WADI RUM HIKE - DEAD SEA

Hiking in Wadi Rum typically involves navigating sandy trails, climbing rocky outcrops, and exploring canyons. The climate can be quite hot during the day, but temperatures can drop significantly at night, making early morning or late afternoon hikes ideal for avoiding the heat. With its stunning natural beauty, rich history, and sense of adventure, hiking in Wadi Rum is a must-do for anyone visiting Jordan. The combination of striking landscapes, cultural experiences, and the thrill of exploration makes it an unforgettable journey.

DAY 7: DEAD SEA– QUEEN ALIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The DEAD SEA, a spectacular natural wonder the Dead Sea is perfect for religious tourism and fun in the sun with the family. With its mix of beach living and religious history you can soak up the sun while Biblical scholars can get their daily dose of religious history. The leading attraction at the Dead Sea is the warm, soothing, super salty water itself – some ten times saltier than sea water, and rich in chloride salts of magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine, and several others. The unusually warm, incredibly buoyant and mineral-rich waters have attracted visitors since ancient times, including King Herod the Great and the beautiful Egyptian Queen, Cleopatra. All of whom have luxuriated in the Dead Sea's rich, black, stimulating mud and floated effortlessly on their backs while soaking up the water's healthy minerals along with the gently diffused rays of the Jordanian sun.
