DAY 1: ARRIVE TO BEN GURION AIRPORT
Upon arriving to Bin Gurion Airport JAT Representative holding a sign with your name will be present to meet and assist you with the completion of customs, immigration procedures, passport formalities, and visa handling.
DAY 2: NAZARETH AND SEA OF GALILEE
In Nazareth, journey along a picturesque route offering views of Megiddo. Ascend to the city and make a stop at the Mount of Precipitation. From there, we'll proceed to the Church of the Annunciation, followed by a visit to the Church of St. Joseph, where you'll see the site believed to be where Jesus and Joseph practiced carpentry. Pass through Cana, the site of Jesus’ miracle of turning water into wine, and continue to the Mount of Beatitudes and Capernaum, home to the Benedictine Church. Journey along the Sea of Galilee, with an opportunity to be baptized at Yardenit in the waters of the Jordan River. On the way back, pass by Mount Tabor before settling in for an overnight stay in Nazareth.
DAY 3: CAESAREA, ACRE, AND HAIFA
Drive along the Mediterranean coast to visit the ancient town of Caesarea. Explore the remarkably well-preserved Roman theater, still in use today, along with the nearby hippodrome and the remains of a Roman temple. Continue through Haifa to admire the golden-domed Bahá'í Shrine and its beautiful gardens. Next, head north to Rosh Hanikra, where you’ll take a cable car down to the grottoes and walk through the sea-carved caverns. The day concludes in Acre, once Israel's largest Crusader city. Marvel at its exceptional preservation and tour the Turkish prison, where the British hanged Jewish prisoners after World War II immigration.
DAY 4: JERUSALEM AND BETHLEHEM
Begin your tour of Jerusalem with a panoramic view of the Mount of Olives, followed by visits to the Garden of Gethsemane, the Jewish burial tombs, and the Church of All Nations. Enter the Old City through Zion Gate, pass through the Armenian Quarter, and explore the ancient Byzantine Cardo. Stroll through the Jewish Quarter and visit the Western Wall. Continue along the Via Dolorosa, following the Stations of the Cross, until you reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. After exploring the markets of the Old City, depart for Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. In Bethlehem, walk across Manger Square to the Church of the Nativity, and as you depart, catch a glimpse of the Field of Ruth.
DAY 5: JERUSALEM - CROSS TO JORDAN - DEAD SEA
Transfer from Jerusalem to Amman via the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge border crossing. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, where you'll have some leisure time to relax.
DAY 6: PETRA
Visit Petra, the renowned Nabatean Red Rose city, with a local English-speaking guide for a 2-hour tour. As one of the 7 World Wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site, Petra is a must-see destination. Enter the city through a 1-kilometer-long narrow gorge, flanked by cliffs towering 80 meters on either side. Marvel at the stunning colors and formations of the rocks. The vast site is home to hundreds of intricate rock-cut tombs, the famous Treasury, Roman-style theaters, temples, sacrificial altars, and colonnaded streets.
DAY 7: PETRA, AQABA- CAIRO
Transfer to Aqaba airport for your flight to Cairo. If this flight is unavailable, you will be transferred to Amman to catch a flight to Cairo from Amman airport. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 8: CAIRO
Begin your sightseeing adventure with a visit to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Pyramids of Giza, and the iconic Great Sphinx, one of the most famous monuments globally. (Optional camel ride available for 20-30 minutes). Next, explore the Egyptian Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Egyptian antiquities and the treasures of King Tutankhamun. Enjoy a traditional Egyptian Koshari lunch at your own expense. In the afternoon, visit the vibrant Khan El-Khalili Bazaar and take a short stroll down the historic Muizz Street.
DAY 9: CAIRO TO ASWAN
Transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, meet your guide and representative to begin your day tour. First, visit the Philae Temple, accessible by motorboat as it is located on an island in the Nile. Next, explore the impressive High Dam. Afterward, transfer to your Nile cruise for embarkation and enjoy lunch on board. In the afternoon, take a relaxing felucca trip around the islands. Return to the cruise for dinner and an overnight stay on board.
DAY 10: KOM OMBO AND EDFU – NILE CRUISE
In the early morning, sail to Kom Ombo. Take a short walk to visit the Kom Ombo Temple. Return to the boat and continue sailing towards Edfu. Enjoy lunch on board, followed by dinner and an overnight stay on the cruise.
DAY 11: LUXOR – NILE CRUISE
Cross to Luxor's West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch, followed by dinner and an overnight stay on the cruise ship.
DAY 12: EAST BANK TOUR - FLIGHT TO CAIRO
Disembark the cruise and begin your day with a visit to the magnificent temples of Karnak and Luxor. The Luxor Temple was dedicated to the worship of the god Amon Ra, while the Karnak complex features multiple temples and begins with the awe-inspiring Avenue of Rams. Later, transfer to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
DAY 13: DEPART CAIRO
Today you bid farewell to Egypt and will return with memories and keepsakes that will last a lifetime.
