DAY 1: ARRIVE TO JORDAN
Upon arriving Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Amman, the capital of Jordan, JAT Representative holding a sign with your name will be present to meet and assist you with the completion of customs, immigration procedures, passport formalities, and visa handling.
DAY 2: AMMAN - PETRA - AMMAN
Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage
Embarking on a journey along the historic King’s Highway to the ancient city of Petra. Your walking tour begins with a stroll through the Siq, leading to the iconic Treasury. Continue along the main street, flanked by magnificent rock-carved structures, to the colonnaded street, and conclude your visit at the Petra Museum. Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Nabateans, who skillfully carved these grand monuments from rose-colored sandstone. Along the way, discover the influence of later civilizations, including the Roman architecture and a beautiful Byzantine chapel adorned with preserved, intricate mosaics. Return to Amman
DAY 3: MADABA - MOUNT NEBO - SHIEKH HUSSIEN CROSSING - CANA
Mt Tabor, Cana
From here we journey to MT. NEBO ,is most known for being the site where Moses overlooked the Holy Land but did not enter it and where a church and a monastery were built to honor him. The book of ( Numbers 33:47 ) mentions that when the children of Israel moved from Almon Diblathaim they camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo, and that the children of Reuben rebuilt the city (Numbers 32:38). the burial site of Prophet Moses ( Deuteronomy 34 ) overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Here you view 4th and 6th century Byzantine churches with wonderful mosaics.
Then we visit the mosaic city of MADABA , ( Numbers 21:30 ) where the oldest map of the Holy Land exists on the floor of St. George's Church. More mosaics can be seen in the Archaeological Park, which houses some masterpieces from Byzantine churches.
Cross the Jordanian-Israeli border and journey to Mt. Tabor, the site of Jesus' Transfiguration. Later, visit Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle, turning water into wine. Here, couples have the opportunity to renew their wedding vows. In the evening, you continue to Galilee.
DAY 4: TIBERIAS
Boat Ride on Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Mt. Of Beatitudes
Today’s highlights include a scenic boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum, where you’ll visit the ancient synagogue and St. Peter’s house. We’ll also explore the Mount of the Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount, and continue to Tabgha to admire the stunning mosaic depicting the miracle of the loaves and fishes. Your journey will take us to the nearby Church of Peter’s Primacy, where Jesus instructed Peter to "Feed my lambs, feed my sheep." You will conclude the day with a memorable Mass near the shores of the Sea of Galilee, either at the Primacy or the Mount of Beatitudes.
DAY 5: GALILEE
Mt Carmel, Stella Maris, Nazareth, Basilica of The Annunciation
You begin your morning with a visit to the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth, where you will celebrate Mass and explore Mary’s Well and the Church of the Angel Gabriel. Next, you drive through the Carmel Mountains to Haifa, where you will visit Stella Maris, a Carmelite Monastery housing the Madonna of Mount Carmel, along with the Roman and Crusader ruins. Continuing on to Muhraka, you ’ll reflect on the moment when Elijah confronted the false prophets of Baal and the origins of the Carmelite Order. Your journey then takes you to the nearby city of Jaffa, where you will explore the historic port and the Church of St. Peter. Finally, you will travel to Bethlehem.
DAY 6: BETHLEHEM
Mt Olives, Shepherd’s Fields, Church of The Nativity
Today, you begin with a breathtaking view of the Old City from the Mount of Olives, showcasing a city steeped in 4,000 years of history. This vantage point allows you to appreciate the significance of Jerusalem to the three major religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. You then proceed to the village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist, and visit the Church of the Visitation, where the Blessed Virgin Mary met her cousin Elizabeth and proclaimed the Magnificat. In the afternoon, you drive to the Shepherd’s Fields, the site where angels announced the birth of Jesus. Our day concludes with a visit to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, built over the very spot where Jesus was born, followed by Mass either in Bethlehem or at the Shepherd’s Fields.
DAY 7: JERUSALEM
The Passion of Jesus' Last Hours: Mt Olives, Gethsemane
You start your day with morning Mass at a local church before heading to the Mount of Olives to walk the Palm Sunday route, stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Next, you visit Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony, where Jesus prayed His final prayer before His arrest. You’ll explore the Cave of Betrayal and the Cave of the Assumption of Mary, believed to be where she ascended to heaven. On the Mount of Olives, we will also visit the Pater Noster, where the Lord’s Prayer is displayed in many languages, and the site of the Ascension, from which Jesus ascended to Heaven.
DAY 8: THE WAY OF THE CROSS
Via Dolorosa
Early in the morning, you begin retracing the final steps of Jesus. As we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), navigating through the bustling markets of the Old City while praying the Stations of the Cross, we take time to reflect on the magnitude of His sacrifice. Your journey culminates at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where you celebrate Mass. Afterward, you return to the Old City of Jerusalem to visit St. Anne’s Church, the reputed home of the Virgin Mary and her parents, Saints Joachim and Anne. You pass by Ecce Homo, where Pilate proclaimed, “Behold the man,” before reaching the Wailing Wall, the holiest site for Jews. Nearby, you’ll see the Dome of the Rock and the Temple Mount.
You exit at Mount Zion, where we visit the Cenacle, the Upper Room of the Last Supper. Next, you make our way to Dormition Abbey, believed to be the site where the Blessed Virgin Mary passed away. You end the day at St. Peter in Gallicantu, the place where Peter denied Jesus three times.
DAY 9: JORDAN RIVER - EGYPT
Masada, Qumran, Dead Sea, Jericho
You begin your day at the Jordan River, visiting the authentic baptismal site of Our Lord. Next, you travel to Masada, an ancient fortification perched atop a large, isolated rock plateau overlooking the Dead Sea, which stands as a symbol of national pride. You continue along the shores of the Dead Sea to Qumran, where you can explore the caves that housed the Dead Sea Scrolls. Then, you have the opportunity to enjoy a swim in the salty, mineral-rich, and famously buoyant waters of the Dead Sea.
Your journey takes you to the oasis town of Jericho, where we will visit the excavations of the oldest city in the world and admire Mount Temptation, the site where Jesus fasted and faced temptation by Satan. Finally, you continue our journey to Taba, Egypt.
DAY 10: RED SEA
Today is a free day to unwind and revel in the stunning beauty of the Red Sea. You can relax on the sun-kissed beaches, swim in the crystal-clear waters, or partake in a variety of water activities, such as snorkeling or diving among vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life. The tranquil atmosphere offers the perfect opportunity to rejuvenate, soak up the sun, and enjoy the breathtaking coastal scenery. Whether you prefer lounging on the beach or exploring the underwater wonders, this day is yours to savor the enchanting charm of the Red Sea.
DAY 11: EGYPT
St Catherine
Continue your pilgrimage to St. Catherine's Monastery, an Eastern Orthodox monastery situated on the Sinai Peninsula. Nestled at the mouth of a gorge at the foot of Mount Sinai, near the town of Saint Catherine in Egypt, the monastery is named after Catherine of Alexandria. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002 due to its significant role in the traditions of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.
For those interested, there is an optional early morning climb of Mount Sinai, the mountain where Moses received the tablets of the Law from God. The primary route to the summit, known as the Path of Moses, is lined with the remains of various chapels, adding to the spiritual experience of the ascent.
DAY 12: ST. CATHERINE - CAIRO
Visit St. Catherine's Monastery, located at the foot of the mountain where Moses is believed to have received the Ten Commandments. For over fifteen centuries, this monastery has been a significant center for religious pilgrimage. Among its many treasures is a remarkable library of ancient manuscripts and icons, which is second only to that of the Vatican. Following our visit, we continue our journey to Cairo.
DAY 13: CAIRO
Citadel & Christian Cairo
You begin your day with a visit to the Citadel and the Mohamed Ali Mosque. Next, you explore Abu Sergha Church before heading to the vibrant Khan Bazaars. Khan El-Khalili is one of the most fascinating bazaars in Egypt and throughout the Middle East, offering a unique shopping experience filled with local crafts and souvenirs.
DAY 14: CAIRO
Museum, Pyramids, Sphinx
Today, you explore the Egyptian Museum, a remarkable destination that houses one of the greatest collections of artifacts in history. Following our museum visit, we will head to the magnificent Pyramids of Giza—Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos—for an unforgettable experience. You’ll also enjoy a close-up view of the Sphinx. In the evening, we come together for a delightful Nile Cruise Dinner, complete with captivating belly dancing.
DAY 15: DEPART CAIRO
Today you bid farewell to Egypt and will return with memories and keepsakes that will last a lifetime.
